Yikes.

Only ten more days until NaNoWriMo starts! I'm still not entirely sure if I'm going to be participating. I don't have any real plot ideas, aside from what's essentially fanfic based on a call for pictures of halloween costumes set in the Art Is The Weapon/Fabulous Killjoys universe from My Chemical Romance. …And it's less fanfic and more of a character sketch, so.

Guh. I'm such a fanboy. I'm really looking forward to the new album.

It's not all that surprising, actually.

Had a reply on one of my two submissions: unfortunately, not what they're looking for, at the moment.

Since it was one of my Benny and Phil stories (from Phil's POV), it's not much of a surprise. It's also not much of a surprise because I thiiiiiink that the publisher was looking for M/F or F/F (or M/F/M, M/F/F, etc.) stories. It would be nice if they said as much, but I'm one of those annoying people who look at the rules and decide that if it does not say I cannot, then I might as well give it a shot.

I should know about the second one before the end of the year — the editor is really busy.

I'm almost done with my steampunky story, which I may be submitting sooner rather than later. It's just under 17K words at the moment, and may end up around 20K. Not too bad, actually. (And don't tell anyone, but it has an actual plot. And things happen and there are NO discussions while standing around in kitchens!)

Also, my time in Seattle is drawing to a close, which is disappointing. Boo. I have no idea what (if anything) I'm going to do for NaNoWriMo, either.

Guess what my protagonist’s name is!

A word-cloud of my latest story

Only certain people get to call him Toby, that's why.

It’s the natural result of writing something with a bunch of guys in–you can’t just use ‘he’ and ‘him’ all the time, or no one will have any idea who you’re talking about.
